Dr. WILLEM DE JAGER

Willem de Jager is a leadership and organisation culture specialist consultant. He completed his Tavistock focused PhD in executive leadership development from a systems psychodynamic stance in 2002 with the University of Johannesburg. He is also an accredited executive coach with the Tavistock Institute for Human Relations Consultancy Services certified by Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. Willem coaches many leading CEOs in South Africa and Africa within all sectors over the past 10 years: Government, Public Sector, Private Sector and local and global NGOs. He has extensive experience in the design, development, consultation and facilitation of leadership and management development programmes for global and national organisations. He played an instrumental role in consulting on high performance leadership culture turnaround strategies and the development of synergies and cross business collaboration initiatives to drive talent management, performance management, levels of work and high performance leadership and teams with various South African and global organisations. Willem currently leads the Resolve Executive Coaching, Mentoring and Assessments service line.He has been instrumental in designing and implementing Resolve's unique executive coaching model and also in developing one of the largest coaching panels in Africa. Willem also has a substantial academic standing and acts as supervisor and examiner to Behaviour Sciences Masters and PhD students at various universities in South Africa. Willem has presented and published nationally and internationally on the topics of leadership development and group dynamics. Willem is a member of the Centre for Creative Leadership international coaching panel where he regularly takes the role of feedback coach on executive leadership and management development programmes in Africa (Namibia, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Botswana and Senegal). He is a member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa for registered psychologists (HPCSA), a member of the Organisation for the Psychoanalytic Understanding of Society, UK (OPUS), the Society for the Psychoanalytic Understanding of Organisations - UK, the Society for the Psychoanalytical Understanding of Organisations (SIOPSA), the Coaching and Mentoring Society of South Africa (COMENSA) and the International Coach Federation (ICF).
