Claire Höck is an Executive Director of Resolve Encounter Consulting. She has extensive experience in arbitration, mediation, and developing and presenting training material on dispute resolution and labour law. Claire has 22 years experience in labour relations in South Africa. She is a part-time senior commissioner for the CCMA and the Metal Industries Bargaining Council, and arbitrates and mediates through Tokiso private dispute resolution agency.
Claire has developed major training interventions for the International Labour Organisation (ILO), government departments such as the Department of Labour and the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, private sector companies such as First National Bank, and non-governmental and other organisations such as Denel and AgriSA. She is the previous Programme Director of the Certificate Programme in Industrial Relations (CPIR) at the Wits Business School and still teaches on this programme. She has taught labour relations and labour law on a range of programmes at the Wits Business School over the last 16 years. She has trained mediators in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar and the Philippines.
