Executive Profile - Sunny Stout-Rostron

Sunny is a Director with the Manthano Institute of Learning (Pty) Ltd. based in Cape Town, a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard/McLean Medical School, and a non-executive Director with Resolve Encounter Consulting in Johannesburg. Sunny coaches at senior executive and board level, and has a wide range of experience in leadership development and business strategy.

With over 20 years' international experience as an executive coach, Sunny believes there is a strong link between emotional intelligence and business results – she works with executive leaders and their teams to help them achieve individual, team and organisational goals. Sunny was Chair of the Working Group on a Research Agenda for Development of the Field for the Global Coaching Community (GCC) (2007-2009), and is Founding President of the professional association, Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA).

She has developed a succession of leadership and executive coaching programmes within the corporate sector in South Africa, the UK, USA and Australia, as well as a range of international programmes in the corporate, legal and education fields. She is a guest lecturer at the Executive Coaching Institute at Haas Business School, University of California at Berkeley, and teaches on the MPhil in Coaching at the University of Stellenbosch; the Masters in Executive Coaching at DaVinci University Midrand, and on the Business Executive Coaching Certificate at the Graduate School of Business of the University of the Witwatersrand.

As an author, Sunny's books include: Business Coaching Wisdom and Practice: Unlocking the Secrets of Business Coaching (Knowledge Resources, 2009); Business Coaching International: Transforming Individuals and Organizations (Karnac, 2009); Accelerating Performance: Powerful New Techniques to Develop People (Kogan Page, 2002), and Managing Training (Kogan Page, 1993).
