Media Works specialises in providing National Qualifications Framework (NQF) aligned training for Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) and Learnerships. It specialises in the development and delivery of training at NQF Level 1.
The primary objective of Media Works is to create customised educational solutions for its clients by effectively integrating technology, courseware and support services. Designed to meet the very specific educational needs of adults, the Media Works programmes are currently used by over 100 000 learners across Southern Africa. Companies find the programme's comprehensive curriculum and flexible management system especially effective in implementing developmental education. Learning programmes are undertaken using two broad approaches:
Face-to-face classes, i.e. predominantly using a facilitator; and
Computer assisted learning, i.e. multi-media programmes with workbooks and facilitator sessions.
Media Works is committed to providing its clients with the most comprehensive and professional training and support in the industry. The services provided include initial implementation, consultation, full facilitator training, on-site start-up and training for clients' staff and continued assistance and support through telephone calls and on-site visits.
Media Works has established a national base of over 2 000 corporate clients and more than 100 000 active learners, with a pass rate of over 90%.
